The 2026 National Railway Supervision and Management Work Conference was recently held in Beijing. The meeting stressed the importance of studying and implementing President Xi Jinping's important remarks on building China into a transportation powerhouse, in connection with the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the Central Economic Work Conference.
The conference reviewed supervision achievements in 2025, analyzed new situations and tasks in railway safety development, and deployed key work for 2026, including safety supervision, transport service quality supervision and engineering quality supervision.
The meeting emphasized keeping the railway safety lifeline firmly in hand, strengthening supervision of key areas, and continuously improving railway safety governance capabilities.
