On January 4, the China State Railway Group work conference was held in Beijing, summarizing railway work in 2025, analyzing the current situation, and deploying key tasks for 2026.
The conference proposed that in 2026 the Group will maintain stable railway safety, complete annual passenger volume of 4.402 billion and cargo targets, and put more than 2,000 km of new lines into operation.
Looking ahead to the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, the Group targets about 180,000 km of railway by 2030, including about 60,000 km of high-speed rail, with electrification and double-track rates reaching 78% and 64% respectively.
The continuous expansion of the railway network means growing demand for security inspection, passenger service and operations talent — and an increasingly important role for intelligent training systems.
