On January 7, China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. held its 2026 Science, Technology and Informatization Work Conference in Beijing. The meeting comprehensively reviewed railway S&T and informatization work in 2025 and during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, analyzed the situation and tasks ahead, and deployed key work for 2026.
Since the "14th Five-Year Plan", the railway S&T innovation system has been continuously improved, with major achievements in intelligent high-speed rail, intelligent construction, intelligent O&M and intelligent travel, strongly supporting the safe and high-quality development of railways.
The conference stressed the need to accelerate breakthroughs in key railway technologies and deepen the integration of AI, big data and other new technologies with railway operations.
